Pawsitive Steps University Dog Obedience and Agility Training

It’s never too late to train your dog!
At Natural Instincts Healthy Pet Center, we offer more than sit, stay, heel — we help you learn, teach, lead. We believe it’s important to keep your dog healthy, safe and happy. With great nutrition, vital exercise and proper training, these are easy tasks.

Our on-staff trainer, Dan Leach, brings nearly 20 years experience to customize training for your dog’s unique needs. You’ll learn practical techniques to keep your companion animal challenged and focused, strengthening your bond and creating a happier relationship with your family pet.

Upcoming Group Training Classes:

Puppy Power
Specially designed for puppies up to six months old. Class covers basic control, bonding between owner and dog, attention, house training, crate training, puppy biting and socialization. First time attendees get an additional 30 minutes introduction with the trainer, then will join the group class for one hour.
1 hour by appointment • Fee: $50 first time, $25 every class thereafter

Basic Training
For dogs 6 months old and up. Class covers attention, focusing, luring, sit, stay, stand, heel, down, recall, walking on a leash, leave it, praise and corrections, calming, and individual behavior issues (i.e. chewing, jumping, relieving on command / house training, etc). First time attendees get an additional 30 minutes introduction with the trainer, then will join the group class for one hour.
1 hour by appointment • Fee: $50 first time, $25 every class thereafter

Agility Workshop
Dogs will learn to navigate obstacles while having fun. Complete course of weave poles, tunnel chute, tunnel, tire jump, teeter totter, panel jump and pause tables. Structured play to mentally & physically challenge your dog. First time attendees get an additional 30 minutes introduction with the trainer, then will join the group class for one hour.
1 hour by appointment • Fee: $50 first time, $25 every class thereafter

Play Day
Dogs just want to have fun! Offering more than just doggy daycare, you can bring your dog in to socialize with other dogs.  Let the staff know what your dog needs and they will structure play accordingly.
4 hours • Fee: $15   or   8 hours • Fee: $25

Rattlesnake Aversion Training
In partnership with High On Kennels who have successfully trained over 4,000 dogs to avoid rattlesnakes. Using several live, neutralized, local snakes, dogs will learn to identify and avoid snakes through sight, sound, and scent. This training can be a critical life saver for your dog. And, if it’s been over a year since your last rattlesnake aversion training, it’s important to refresh your dog’s memory.
30 minutes by appointment • Fee: $75 – multiple dog discounts for 4 or more offered

One-on-One Training
Tailored for dogs with special needs and owners who want flexibility in class scheduling. A complimentary interview and dog evaluation is provided. Personalized recommendations will be offered based upon scheduling availability of the owner and training needs.
Fee:  $50 per hour • By appointment – Location and length depend on your needs

Essential Oils
How to use pure essential oils to improve health for you and your pets. Learn about our “Medicine Cabinet Makeover”. Classes are scheduled at regular intervals.
